well to start off with, my dad acquired 4-20' stalks of 3x4x3/8 angle iron about 10 years ago from his work before he became disabled. these stalks have been sitting beside the shop ever since and we never used them. well i decided to make my samurai off-road only and i needed a way to haul it but i didnt need a 20' trailer to do it. so i came up with this trailer. most say its overkill but the steel was free so im using it. its going to be 7'x14' with 3'' 6000# drop axles out from under a horse trailer i bought from a member on here about 2 years ago. im going to be using 2x6 boards for the floor with a 3'10'' tongue. ill let the pictures tell the rest. ill have some better detailed pics to come these are just some i remembered to snap while building it. these pictures are what has been done in the course of the past 3 weeks. i only get about a day per week to work on it.

Gonna be watching this one. I have 6 pieces of 3x3x1/4, but I'm gonna be hauling a little more than a sammi.

I finally got the spring hangers mounted today and paint on the underside. Didn't get any pics cause phone was dead. Its a stout trailer for sure.

Yes

I've built 4 this will be my 5th trailer made out of angle. Some say angle bows or twist to much but if you run your tongue down the frame like I did in the last pic it stiffens it up perfectly. What are you building yours to haul?

Got the axles welded up and mounted today and got all the bolts tight. just have to run the wire for the lights and the brakes and ill be ready to flip er over and get the lights mounted and put the boards on and then i can get started on the fenders. will get pictures this week before i go to work.

Update: Got the trailer ready to flip. did not get the wires for the lights and brakes ran but i just bought a house so im am going to move it there and finish it up. heres a few pics of it ready to flip. hydraulic line on front end loader was leaking so going to fix that today and get it flipped over. will get more pics after its flipped.
