Boat trailer. Right at 3800#
I have 225-75-15 Goodyear Marathons on it now. These came with the boat when I bought it 6 years ago.
Trailer rusted apart and I got a used aluminum trailer. It had 205-75-14 on it.
I would like to go back to the 205-75-14 in a D rated tire.
This would bring the height of the trailer down some and the tires would have more clearance.
Is there any reason not to go to
14" rim and tire compared to the 15" tire.
Wheels I have a rusty and I've wanted to upgrade. So now would be the time to do so.
225-75-15 OD is 28.3
205-75-14 OD is 26.1
