Trailer wiring help!

I can't figure out what I did wrong-

I bought some trailer lights to put on my jeep while it is being towed, but they are having issues.

Driving during the day = zero problems.
Trailer Brake lights work
Trailer Blinkers work

When my tow rig has its lights on:
Trailer Blinkers work
Trailer Brake lights are constantly on
Trailer Lights go off completely when I mash the brakes in the tow rig.


Is this a common problem? Sound familiar to anyone?

Sounds like a ground problem to me, you MUST have a ground wire from the towe to the towed through the plug. It is the white wire and should be attached to both frames preferbaly with star washers. I hope this the prob, simple fix and cheap.

Yep, while I haven't tried the fix, I do have a loose white wire hanging down from the plug.
