Sorry for the crappy pics, but you get the idea.

Reminds me of one of the dollies to pull a gooseneck like a tag along. Except, that looks like it was built that way. Definitely a WTF

My mother is a horse trainer and I grew up at horse shows every weekend. I had never seen a trailer like this so I screen shot the pictures and sent to her and was like “Mom, please explain this to me.” She said it’s a inline trailer, horses stand one in front of the other. Used to be very popular in the old days according to her. She said the front wheels pivot like a hay wagon.

It's a old wagon style trailer! Their kinda cool looks like a newer top on older frame maybe?? I've not seen one of those in long time never hauled one but bet it sucks backing up!

I pulled a hay wagon many many times during my first job when I moved up to OK...old bastardized contraption hooked up behind a 1950s Farmall H. After my first time, I thought my boss was trying to kill me.

That pile in the pic up there? I feel bad for the horses that have to ride in that b!tch.

Would towing characteristics not be determined by the quality of the trailer and less the style of trailer.

I've seen plenty of normal trailers pull like crap.

I'm not advocating for the design but it seems like it could work ok.

Two answers...sort of, and it depends.

High quality definitely is a must, obviously. But other considerations are wheelbase, track width, COG, coupled with sway, speed, etc. etc. etc...much like any other vehicle. But vehicle sway (also increased by a higher COG, such as with an 8-1200 pound [per head] live load) is the biggest factor. I personally think that with the live (or some might call it dynamic) load, it would make pulling a trailer like that a little sketchy, high quality or not. Even pulling a regular bumper pull trailer (discounting the goosenecks since this thread has a wagon-style bumper pull) with 2000+ pounds of pissed off and/or scared sh!tless horses can make for a white-knuckle day.
