I am selling my 9 ton goose neck to get a smaller and lighter trailer better suited for my yj. what does everyone recommend as in features and car hauler/equipment trailer. Most trailer places have different prices for car hauler and equipment. they look the same and you can upgrade the car hauler to higher cap axles so whats the difference?

BEtween the two, heavier frame, heavier brakes, axles, springs, and tongue jack

two of my friends just had trailers made at T&W, just a car trailer, with heaier axles/tires, and deck widened for and aft of fenders, with drive over fenders ~$2600.00. heck of a deal, both are happy with what they got

Equipment a rated a little heavier baseline I believe. The deck height is usually a little higher on equipment trailers and the ramps are the heavier type that fold. Car haulers usually have the small removable ramps. The car haulers typically have a lower deck height for the break over angle at the dovetail too.

I bought a Hudson from TRT in Lincolnton for a good deal several years ago.

The dexter axles with EZ lube bearings are better than the allied axles IMO.

upnover think you can get a picture? t & w is actually what I am probably going to be going with. The guy does not like giving much information over the phone though. I guess I was trying to decide between a car hauler or equipment. I am leaning toward the equipment. he gave me a quote for a 16 + 2 equip. with 6k axles and 16" radials for 2580. I just need to call and get more info because so far thats the best deal I could find.

PM nasty dog, he may be able to shoot you a pic, or maybe 3DCrawler they are the two that I was talking about just got trailers from T&W
