I have been looking to buy a trailer to haul my junk around on and i was curious to see if ya'll had any recomendations on any other good trailer manufacture's other than Kraftsman/kaufman? by the way i can't seem to find the kraftsman site lately are they still in busness? Any body from durham or the surrounding area have any good suggestions or recomendations on any small trailer dealers where i could look? ie: C&C trailer in Roxboro or Leonards off capital blvd...
in ya'lls opinion is an 18' a good length for a bobbed 4runner? if you had your choice would you keep your dovetailed trailer or would you get a flat utiltiy style care hauler or visa versa? my runner weights about 4500lbs so i would assume a 7000lbs trailer would be enough, correct? with my 6.9L ford i have now i can't afford to get to heavy of a trailer, becuase it pulls awesome but i definatly know why they started putting turbo's on diesels...and everybody behind me does too :driver:, oh well one debt at a time right...
thanks for the help/info...

Hudson makes an awesome trailer as well. There are many our there. If you take a look at www.iwanna.com you can find some deals every now and then. You would do fine with a 16' or even a 14' of the axle placement is in the right place for your Runner. That's one of the benefits to a longer trailer, being able to position your weight where you need it to pull good.

Southag in Wendell manufactures top of the line trailers, but you pay top of the line price for them. www.southag.com Rigsbees on 64 between Wendell and Knightdale sells PJ trailers and Maxey trailers, as well as some used ones. My dad recenly got a nice 10k maxey 18ft long for a decent price.

would that be the "Ervin Rigsbee Tractor-Truck-Trailer Equipment" in knightdale?
thanks for the suggestions, any body else know of any good place...

I paided 1600.00 or so out the door at Southern Farm Supply in Union Grove, NC for my trailer. 16' wood deck single break.
No problems to speak of after a year of use. Theres nicer out there. But its pretty decent for what you get.

Yes Kraftsman is still in business. I was just over there last weekend with a friend picking up his new trailer.

any other trailer recommendations? seems like alot of poeple are in the market for one...

whats their web site...i can't find it anymore

I didn't even know they had one. I've called them on the phone to get pricing or information. If you can't find the phone number, I'll get it off the side of my trailer.
