Train of Death, Redneck Style

thats pretty awesome, I'd do it

Do they still do that at Bowman Gray?

Back in the day the front car had motor and no brakes, back car had brakes no motor, and middle car was just along for the ride, I remember guys talking about one race that was won with the middle car upside down, I bet that was a wild ride.

Seems to me it might be easier to control if he didnt lock the brakes up in the corner. But thats just me looking in from the outside. Maybe there is some advantage to doing that.

I've seen one where the cars were chained together side-by-side. Pretty cool when you have two guys having to steer the same direction (or close to it) at the same time. If I recall, both vehicles were powered, but typically the inside car was the more powerful of the two. Gets real interesting if one of the cars breaks a steering linkage and is then along for the ride like a rudderless ship, or worse a rudder you can't move.

That's how all the ones I've seen have been. And if you think that tail car swings around a lot on asphalt watch them on dirt!
