i was driving my fs bronco on 35's with stock 3.55s up to ure last month and made it all the way to sanford when my buddy behind me told me a big cloud of smoke came from underneath my truck. i get under it to look and the pissing out tranny fluid. im thinkin the trans over heated and burnt up a seal or somthin..but im not to sure. but heres what confuses me i parked it for a little while and then decided id try driving it, i drove it all over raleigh and it hasnt leaked any.anybody got a clue what this could be?

from youe issue i would assume you have the e4od, i have seen it a hundred of times. they blow fluid past the seal when they get hot. you will need to pull the trans and have the pump fixed.

there are things you need to do to the pump to prevent it from happening again.
replace the pump bushing, drill the drainback hole to 5/16(instead of 1/4), the new seal should be of the updated style, you will also need a pump o-ring and pump gasket, filter and pan gasket.

**** first you need to make sure it's an e4od, if it's an aod, there could be other issues******

idk i thought the c6's were stronger and id rather buy a different better one. i dont know much about transmissions at all so i dont know what route to take
