i have a 2000 jeep tj with a 4.0 with the 32rh 3 speed auto... It was just rebuilt with roughly 2600 miles on the rebuild and it is already slipping and the tranny fluid is burnt. Anyone know what would cause it to burn the fluid on a fairly fresh rebuild? I am trapped until I call the shop that did the rebuild on Tuesday. Also I don't tow anything with my TJ and it has stock gears with 33s, but hasn'tbeen abused.

If im correct there is a "check ball" in the transmissions line. If it got clogged it might not have let your fluid cylce thru the cooler.... just a thought

33s on stock gears on an auto means 3.07's, correct?? I am running the same thing but I have a huge tranny cooler in line with the radiator cooler. Those gears on 33s will heat it up in a hurry. And too long over 180° and It'll be toast. And it doesn't matter how long It's been since the rebuild, if you've been in tub deep water then it Probably got into the vent which is just above the torque converter. Water is hell on the friction plates in there

thanks everyone for the help it ended up being a bad tv cable caused the tranny to explode and cook all the fluid now i have a new tv cable and new rebuild.

Anything Lee tells you about trannys, you can take to the bank. Unless he is talking about Ru Paul.
