Just installed a new radiator and the upper trans cooling line fitting, that came w/ the radiator, going into the tank is NPT and not flaired. It is leaking between it and the radiator. Whats the best thing to use, Teflon tape or something else?

len, there has to be some kind of fitting, unless they were push in fittings. the flare is what seals it.
Lee, I left you a vmail.

The Radiator came with various adapters to screw into the Radiator's two trans cooling ports. The lower port is set up for using a flared adapter. The upper port, the one that is leaking, apparently uses an npt fitting. I have tightened it down as much as I dare and yet it leaks. I need to put something on the threads to keep it from leaking. I don't think Teflon tape would stand up to the heat or fluid.
