Question for the fabrication guru's. I'm building a Scrambler w/LS1-700R4-Atlas-need to fabricate a crossmember/cradle/skid plate assembly to span inside the frame rails. Trying to tuck everything up inside the rails. Vehicle weight will be about 4400lbs. I'm considering using 3 lengths of 1.5" x .25" DOM tube to use as crossmember/cradle... Would that material be strong enough to support the weight of the vehicle if I become high centered?

The 1.5 DOM should be strong enough. If it was me, I'd bump it up in size to 2" DOM or preferably 2x2 .25 wall square tube then install a removable 3/16 plate skid on the bottom. At the frame ends I like to used bushed DOM sleeves with a 1/2" bolt or so to help with vibrations and impact shock.
