trans temp. gauge set up

so i got a new xj it has a trans temp. gauge. its hooked up to power i got under the jeep and there is a wire that looks like its the on that goes to the gauge i cant see where they put in anything or tryed to hook anything up any easy ways to hook it up or should i not bother with it for now

You will see a brass probe that looks like an engine temp probe either in the pan, in a test port on the side of the trans or in a cooler line with a single threaded wire stud on it. Could be a gauge for something else.
