Anybody know if an AX-5 or AX-15 will bolt up to a 258? Do I need the bellhousing off of the COMMANCHE PICKUP. It had a 4.0 in it.

Well you certainly wouldn't want to use an AX5 if you can help it.

I'm not positive, but I think the 258 is/has the same transmission mounting pattern as the 4.2L I think the 4.0 is the same too.

Again I'm not exactly sure though.

Put the wrong size bearing into the crank, fawked it up trying to get it out ended up drilling the bearing out. In the process messing up the crank. So finally took some numbers to the machine shop had him cut me one out. Wound up costing me about $75 for a indestructible (according to him) pilot bearing.
