transmission problems

[new to 4 wheelin]

Ok just rebuilt my ax15 trans that came out of my 1990 yj with the inline 6 4.2 went and replaced all the clutch parts cause i wasnt getting pressure at the clutch pedel now i have pressure went to shift into reverse and it grinds and when im in nuetral my rear wheels spin also when i stomp on the break in any gear it doesnt stall out it keeps rolling pullin my hair out tryin to figure this mess out hopein someone might be able to help

Kinda sounds like the clutch was installed backwards. Did u notice a marking on the clutch that said "motor side" or something like that?

Yeah i noticed it it said this side to flywheel and it was the flatter side the other side had the springs purtruding out instead of being flush and just took it arround the block and grinding second and reverse everything was installed right still open for options going to flip it arround see if that helps

Could i take an ax15 trans out of a inline 6 and mix and match parts out of either a 4 cyl or dakoda that use the same trans all except the tail shaft

The clutch is not disengaging properly. Sounds like there is air in the clutch hydro system.
