transmission ratio question

1st 2nd 3rd 4th 5th rev final drive
3.250 1.900 1.250 0.909 0.702 3.153 4.250

What is the "final drive" ratio? I would think it would be the same as 1st gear correct? Reason I am asking, all the transmission i could use in my buggy have the same 1st gear ratio, but some have a 4.25 final drive as opposed to the 3.25 in mine.

Its the differential ratio in the transaxle

Just figured it up, the transmission I have now would be almost 7MPH in 1st gear (@3500rpm), if I get a Civic EX transmission it would be closer to 5MPH in 1st.

Not much of a difference but I think I'm gonna need all the low end I can get...
