I purchased a tranny transfer combo lastnight. It was supposed to be a np435 and borg warner transfercase. Well the transfer case is a borg waner 1356 which is forsale. But the tranny was also a borg waner not a np435. It turns out the tranny is T18 ford. Is this still as good or better than the np435.

I would say it is just as good. I know a couple of guys that would rather run the t-18s than the 435.

They are pretty comparable in both strength, size and gear ratio. www.novak-adapt.com has some really good info in their "knowledge" section.
