transporting cars w/ 3 car trailer

Not to mention you don't need to weigh 26k + to need the CDL. 1 ton dually with MFG stated GVWR of 11500, and a trailer that is listed on MFG's tag of 15k lbs, and you need a CDL no matter if you are empty and crossing scales at 12k lbs.

Actually, at 10,001# of TRAILER GVWR = Class A NCDL ;)

Once you get DOT and MC numbers you are supposed to run through weigh stations.

lol yes i have. got too good of a deal on the trailer to pass it up
Yes I know. I have looked. cheapest one on there is more than double what I payed for mine. just saying
Just a thought, several folks here have made good points that the margins to make money in this business are hard.
If this was kind of a "whim" purchase, and if you really did get the trailer for such a great deal... you might consider taking that trailer and re-selling it for a big profit, and taking that profit money to put into a different money making venture.

Don't do it bro, low margins big hassle

Everyone one of them that ever comes to my place looks stressed out of their mind and possibly on a week long meth bender...I'd be careful quiting my day job for this opportunity.

alot of valid points have been made and i really appreciate the input. i am going to do some more digging into this before i make a decision

Maybe find something cheap. Like a older IDI ford or 454 chevy in a not cool body style. Regular cab/c&c/van. Then just casually do some stuff on the weekend or time off.
