I know this subject comes up every so often…..rode Uwharrie on Friday and have never seen so many beer cans and bottles thrown along the trail! I know there always seems to be a few things here and there but it seemed so much more. Looked like a trash dump below Daniel ledge right off the trail at the “waiting” area. There was one abandoned camping area where a party had occurred the night before….looked like a fraternity house on a Saturday night. As we were riding through there, a group of 4 wheelers had just started cleaning it up…their good deed for the day. It just disgust me that folks can’t keep their trash in their vehicle.

Nothing new here. High URE traffic combined with low volunteer turn out equals trash everywhere. Trash pickup depends on volunteers in my experience. Thankfully there are good samaritans who care about URE. Probably few and far between though.

None taken. I’d be back there in URE monthly if I still lived in NC. Sadly life happens and that’s not a realistic expectation. Back in the day though…

Edit: must have been 2008-2009 when gas prices were about what they are now :flipoff2:
