TRD Package

I'm kind of in the market for an 01-03ish Tacoma, and I see them a lot at dealerships with TRD stickers on them. The package is usually mentioned on the window sticker, but it's usually around $500ish and has no mention of a locker, which sounds a hell of a lot like nothing more than a bunch of expensive stickers.

My question is, are there different kinds of TRD packages, or does the TRD package always include the locker?
 
In those years, the TRD package always meant the locker as far as I know, I'll have to look at my sticker for my old 04 to see how much it was. Package includes: progressive rate coils, locker, bilstein shocks, stickers
 
Also 31" tires, and it was more like $1500 or so, I think.
 
Yea, the low package price and the fact that the dealer sticker mentions none of that caught my attention.
 
You could always just check the rear differential yourself on the TRD models if they don't mention a locker on the window sticker. Just look for electrical wiring that runs into the rear differential, not hard to see at all OR just look on the left side of the steering wheel to see if it has the RR DIFF button. Hope this helps.
 
I had a 01 a couple of years ago and it had a locker, I didnt buy it new so not sure if it was listed seperatly, I do believe it comes with the TRD package though.
