I was wanting to get some ideas on the tread life on diffrent interco tires around the 35s area. And I know im not a great speller so dont judge me to harshly on that. Ty for ya'lls imput.

It depends on a few things:
Vehicle weight?
tire width?
air pressure in tires when on the road?
How well your front end is aligned?
how often you rotate said tires?
Balance of said tires?

Spell check is your friend:flipoff2:

I have a set of the Interco Trxus m/t radial 34" and they are quiet(not silent) on the road and tread life has been really good. I have eaten them up a good bit though on rocks. I would get them again and plan to. -Tripp

on my zj i had 31's TrXus m/t's and that was my DD and they lasted me a good 2yrs.... kept them at 31psi, i got 33' boggers now and they havnt wore yet on the rode,, i would just stick with radials tho like he said...

 jDubb i love your signature... thats how i feal now, i coulda gotten a free tattoo last nite if my jeep was running.. (tattoo artist needed a pull)

Bias tires on pavement - If you keep them rotated, have the correct air pressure for your setup, keep it aligned, your vehicle isn't too heavy, drive lightly and you drive them until they're like slicks, 25k+ is possible.

If the above criteria is not met, 15k or less.

so i got sticking with radials is the way to go, but i guess my main question would be what interco tire gets the best tread life. and from what yall have let me know so far the trexus muds are the way to go. ty for yalls input and ill check back later to see any one elses threads on this.

I have 15,000 on my TrXuS MTs and with religious rotation have about 50% tread left. I will not be getting them again but not because of tread life.

ready to try something else or have a gripe with performance?

I don't think they do well in the rocks. The TrXuS have struggled in places the BFG MTs I used to have had no problems with. My siped BFG MTs seemed to grip better even though I know the tradeoff is the weaker sidewall but the 4WP warranty offsets that concern if I buy 5. I would like to get IROKs but my Heep is still a part time daily driver.

im looking forward to the new BFG MTs to come out... looks to basically be a kralwer street tire...

i have a few friends with the Truxus MTs and as said they get decent mileage on the road under the right circumstances...

I had 36" Radial IROKs and ran them for 60k before they hit the wear bars. I got 39.5" IROK radials now with about 35k on them and they're just now getting the top step worn off. I run about 25psi. I won't put anything other than IROK radials on my DD. They look good and last forever especially on a light truck like mine.

i start crying at 15k miles with my boggers... at 20k they are slicks

I also have the trxxus tires on my zj and the tread life is OK as long as you rotate them ALOT. They are great off road for a radial tire though.

well for the price difference between the iroks and the trexus muds i think id have to go with the muds. ty to everyone who gave me their imput.

I dont get it.... I have 36" IROKs on my jeep and after about 15k they were already over 50% worn. I keep the psi right about the same as you.... I wonder why mine dont last as long

ball joint deflection? perhaps his axles are tougher than yours?

alignment? perhaps his alignment guy is more anal about getting it dead nuts perfect than yours?

driving style? well we all know how that goes....

driving terrain? lots of travl on freshly paved asphalt I40? or more driving on old rough asphalt or concrete?

wheelbase? open vs. lsd vs. locked differentials? vehicle weight? etc

too many variables.... what works for some may not work for others

are yours BIAS or Radial?
