Ok we've volunteered to bring The Bird for T-day w/ wife's family in Southern Pines this year.

So we're going for a Turducken.
Originally I was gonna order one to be delivered but got sidetracked, now I'm thinking, see if any local butcher hsops do them, call ahead and pick up... I'll be in W-S Tues night, then from there to SP Wed AM.

So the short point - anybody know where I can get a Turducken around Greensboro, Winston Salem, or Southern pines (or between)?

I know Food Lion can order them, I would imagine with enough notice any grocery store can get one.

Cajun Specialty Meats produces a turducken that is distributed to Harris Teeter. You may have to call and order it before hand.

I'll be in So. Pines for turkey day as well. You can try the Fresh Market grocery store in Southern Pines if the other options don't work. They tend to have those specialty items but charge out the wazoo for them. You got family there?

Wife grew up there, her parents live on Midland Road.

I'll be on Midland road too. My folks have a house across the street from the course that looks like a horse race track. I can't remember the name. Small world.

wow, yeah. Know where the church is at the stoplight of, er, maybe it's Pennsylvania (can't remember for sure)? They live in an old-ass farm house that's in the parking lot (long story).

I think PA street is the one you turn on to go to down town So. Pines. My folks are back towards the circle on the left coming from your place. Big yellow house with 2 acres, circular drive in front and for sale. Good luck with your Turduck. We'll be doing a big pig pickin Satuday PM come up and have a beer.
