Depends on what you're looking for. Greensboro Auto Parts U-Pull or standard yard, Lilly's in Archdale, 109 U Pull It in Winston.

I really want a skid plate for my gas tank, and some Grand's came with them form the factory, so that is one. Another is I need a glove box with a lock on it. Last is I am looking for a CD player (currently all I have is a factory AM/FM radio with no CD and no casset).

White's is awesome and HUGE, many acres of cars. Chances are good they will have it. Gonna be a good hike from Greensboro though.

I would call up to Whites if you're considering heading up there, they don't have as much new stuff as some others.

A few more questions, because I am a junk yard virgin. When you go do you bring all of your tools with you? Do they usually charge by the piece or is it a fee to go "looking around". Is there usually room to negotiate?

I also called Greensboro Auto Parts U-Pull, and asked if he had a grand cherokee for me to pull an atenna from (my first JY project), and he said he had no inventory listing. SO does that mean I just walk around looking for a grand cherokee?

Even the backward @$$ yards between W-S & East Bend have an inventory list! Much less GAPCO... everything is on computer

SO does that mean I just walk around looking for a grand cherokee?

Most yards segregate the cars & trucks by brand... Cheros fall in the middle depending on the yards...

Some have no inventory listing. They usually know they have a 19** Cherokee, but that's it. No engine/trans specs or what has been removed, just have to see for yourself. Some U Pull it yards are like this, - bring your own tools.

Some won't even let you on the yard. Tell them what you want and they'll go get it for you. Just bring cash.

Most yards keep detailed inventory on the most popular parts.

Car-Part.com is a good site to go to.

Negotiate on prices. Some salvage yards costs as new parts.
