Triad - Privacy fencing supply?

Ok, have got the approval to fence in the back yard and I wanted to start getting pricing on those 6'x8' panels you see out there.

Does anyone know a good place to buy them for good prices, etc? I know LOWES carries them but I assume they will be the highest local cost?

I think when I priced it before, it was actually cheaper to buy the 6x8 premade panels than to get the wood by itself and make your own?

Any other tips or suggestions always welcome. We have a gas post hole digger so that is nice.

The expected linear length of fencing is about 200'
 
Quick set concrete @ $5 per 50lb bag doesn't set much faster than the regular stuff @ $2.50 per 50 lb bag.

Buy a post level.

Use 6" posts on your corners and gates.

If possible bury the 8' posts 24" deep. (hope you don't hit any rock, I had to rent a jackhammer.....) In addition to being stronger, it will save you the trouble of trimming the top of the post later.

Last I remember, sections are cheaper. I just don't like the way they look. I used deck screws on my pickets, which makes the sections even cheaper.

If you use nails, be sure to use the spiral nails.

Cost of lumber is unreal... good luck. Sometimes your local builders supply places are as cheap as Lowes and such, but some have free delivery over $50 Lowes delivery. If you do get some bowed lumber, Lowes will take back damn near anything. I don't know about the local places.

Don't seal your fence for a few months, let the treated stuff dry out. Four months of summer weather should be plenty of time.
 
Hey Sam, try bowers lumber in thomasville, they will beat anybody, and theyre #2 treated looks good, and cheap, bought some 2x6x8s for 3.00 each. let me know what you need, might can save you some money.
 
Sam check Bowers in Thomasville, Carter's In Midway, and 109 Building Supply/Southside bargan Center. 109 is always cheaper than Lowe's for nails and screws.
