Used this morning and worked fine, went to use again and getting 2.7-2.9ish v output. Suspect bad voltage regulator.

Getting 4.8v off the brushes, 2.9v off each winding, .01v across L1-R1 and 5.8v across L2-R2.

L1-R1 is my concern, should this be 0/ol? Is .03-.01 indicative of a short between windings? The rest seems inline w a bad cap/regulator.

Edit: Have flashed gen both with a grinder motor and directly with battery. Same results.

Pulled & cleaned brushes then realized maybe the problem was having a dead battery hooked up to the electric start. Disconnected dead battery, reinstalled brushes and everything works.

Wondering if dead batt drained off magnetism when I shut it down this morning.
