Looking for a gated lot for the storage of my deuce and a half near Raleigh. I live in the city, but anywhere 15-20 mins away from downtown would be fine. I've tried Public Storage and the like, but they either don't offer it or are full.

Y'all know of anywhere maybe just outside the city limits that could work for a reasonable rate?

You can park it at my house if I can drive the duece sometimes :)

If you don't like that idea, try Durham Rescue Mission at Briar Creek, they have storage spots at the location. I know of a few others that will store boats and such, but expect 100/month probably.

If you pay the insurance on it, then maybe we can work something out.

Good info about the Rescue Mission...I'll check. Ideally I'd like to have access to it all the time (evenings and weekends), so I can work on it at random times that I am free.

How much is insurance :) . Seriously though, if you want to talk about storing it let me know, I have an acre just 5 miles from downtown Raleigh. It isn't gated or locked though.

Rescue mission you can get to 24/7 Auto Sales & Storage Durham NC | Durham Rescue Mission

well when I say work on it....nothing major...just fluid checks and the occasional small part replacement. Things just pop up on a truck this old If it needed an overhaul, then it would go to the shop.

The lack of vehicle storage in this state is borderline alarming. It's frustrating at best, you wouldn't think it would be that difficult to find a gravel parking lot not in use. I had to move my vehicles 4 times in the last year for various reasons. I'm almost considering buying 5 acres that can be commercially zoned, gravel it over...put some shipping containers on the property for those that need 'in door' storage, and creating some options.

Well it is frustrating. Not alarming per se, as this vehicle is a luxury and a toy. First world problems I guess.

But I also started looking at land to be used for storage, but in Wake county, land for sale is expensive, due to the push for over crowding that everyone seems hell bent on.

I keep all my stuff in a privete gravel lot in raleigh near knightdale i will ask if they would take anyone else

Here are a few. Be sure to check after the first of the month, too.
