Truck suspension question

I was out today in my 96 2500 Ram pulling neighbors out of ditches. A couple times I almost got stuck my self so I had to throw it in 4lo to get out (not hooked up to another car at the time) and the the front of the truck was hopping up and down. Was this just from the torque of 4lo? It was some pretty good shaking. I am wondering if it is the result of some work suspension components and what those might be. I know I need shocks.

It can be any number of things, but it's probably from grabbing traction in the midst of a slick situation. Although those trucks are famous for having front end problems. Anything from steering box problems to panhard bars wearing out. Shouldn't be hard to narrow down the problem.

It could very likely could be a bushing. However I know my bushings are worn out and the cherokee still drives strait down the road :fuck-you: If anything breaks while pulling someone out of a ditch write them up a bill :flipoff2:

Nice of you to pull some people. Not only positive street credit but just some good ole fashioned fun :bounce:

That is just what happens when you drive on dry pavement in a vehicle with no center diff like your zj. U joints speed up and slow down as they go through their oval shaped travel. Same thing that causes driveline vibes on a non cv rear shaft when the angles are wrong or the joint phases are off.
