The fan on my wife's 2000 grand cherokee has crapped out. I see a fan at Advance for $145 but one on ebay is ~$55. Do any of you know some reputable dealers that sell decent parts?

Rockauto is usually cheaper than the box stores, and you can find 5% coupons on the Internet.

Checked RockAuto. They're a little higher. I guess I could always just go off of reviews. They've sold over 750,000 items and have a 99.9% positive feedback.

I've had good luck in general with ebay parts like this. Typically, I think they're mostly resellers buying from the same Chinese distributor.

Dad got two years out of the one from advance.I know results will vary due to useage,where they came from and even what day of the week they were produced.Seems like dad said he went back to Jeep and got one and it wasnt much more.

I have only had one issue years ago. I bought before I checked the feed back. Got burned for about $40. Since then e bay has cracked down on that kinda thing.

See if Steve White Motors has any listings for it on ebay. I've gotten several OEM parts from them for much cheaper than anywhere else, and they are in Hickory if you prefer to pickup.

yeah ebay's alot better than it use to be and to be honest its the only place people are spendin any money on parts.

believe it or not, check Amazon. Can get lots of automotive parts, often competitive w/ Rockauto, and may be able to get free shipping thru Prime.

I used to try and buy local as much as I could. But with money getting tighter..... I hate to say it, but I have been buying pretty much all my RC and Jeep parts off E bay.

Before you pop for a new fan, are you positive it's not the relay? I'm not sure if it was the 2000 or the '02, but one of those two years would burn the relay.

no, I'm not sure but I was just checking around just in case. found out last night I blew the head gasket in my daily driver so that's another project. I plan on checking the relay and wiring before I pull the trigger. The reason I asked is because it seems a lot of fans crap out on these.
