Ok guys I have a 95 grand cherokee that started off as a stock grocery getter then went to a 4.5 rough country lift and fender trim and 33s. I wheeled like this for a couple years then i got the crazy idea that I wanted a little more lift but on a fireman budget my options were limited so i bought a set of 6 inch lift coils for an xj and then moved the front 4.5 to the back and some more fender cutting and 35s. Believe it or not theres a set of 38s under my grand now and I wanna do an axle swap the stock 30/35 and the short arm kit is starting to scare me! I have a dana 44 hp and a ford 9 inch but Im not sure if theyll be enough for the 8 inch xj coils with a 2 inch bucket for the front but Im worried about the subframe strength and the weight of a set of 1 tons. If I build my dana 44 and 9 inch with good gears and chromeolly axles will that be strong enough? I know the next question is gonna be how does it get wheeled? and well Ive had it since 03 and theres one dent in the underside of the rocker panel so its not a rock basher by no means and itll see a few miles on the highway. I like the way it looks on 38s and its one of the biggest cherokees Ive seen esp. in my hometown of Brevard. So I guess my next question is there someone on here that can do my axles swap and build a long arm kit for my jeep and not charge an arm and leg and help a guy out that wants to get back out on the trails cause if your miss the things you love to do you cant wait to be back out there! Sorry its so long winded guys!
