I have a 76 CJ5 Jeep manual transmission and I'm looking for the linkage that runs from my switch down the steering column. I either need a used column or if someone knows where to order the linkage and guts for a column please let me know.
I know there are columns for sale on eBay but are very expensive and obviously trying to save some money. Thanks! 828828-44two-7932

You can buy the switch, and a new lock cylinder from Crown Automotive, Ignition Switches | Crown Automotive Sales Co. But the Rod that runs between them is not available new anywhere that I've ever found. Maybe you could make that part? It's just a bent piece of rod...

As a last resort Collin's Brothers in Texas, might be able to get a used one from one of their restorations, might be cheaper to buy an entire column.

I have a column that is pretty much gutted. I think the only thing left is that rod. Lemme take a look and I'll let you know.

If you need to make the rod, either small cold roll, or depending on length, maybe high tensile stainless fence wire, that stuff is pretty stiff (if the diameter is close)

Chevy columns have the same parts in them. I have several jeep columns around if you cant find it I can look to see if I have one junked.
