We have an elderly client that lives alone in a house who is on a fixed income. Just getting SS at the moment and her heat as gone out. Got a quote for $4300 to get it fixed. She has tried to apply for a cashline and a home Equity line but was only given $1000 on cashline and didn't qualify for the Home Equity. So as a team, we are trying to figure out a way to help her out by either finding some who can do the install and possibly offer her a payment plan. She went through one HVAC company but she didn't qualify. We are also looking into other avenues on any assistance we could get for her. Anyone have any ideas on an non profits or organizations that can help with something like this?

I am not sure, but I can find out.

Doesn’t even have to be her church…just went through something similar…I asked my church’s trustees and a friend of mine asked her church’s trustees…came up with enough cash to get the job done.

Our office has called a place that deals with helping people out with home repairs, but they had a 6mo waiting list. W are trying to get her squared away before it gets too cold. We have gotten some blankets, heated blankets, and heaters.
