Tube bender questions?

Good to hear he's back in business. There were guys on pirate that waited months to get their dies/benders and more that couldn't even get ahold of him to order one at all. I think the story was that he broke his back? It's the route I was planning on going but no reply to any emails. Anyway, I'd like to see it sometime in person.

He is wearing a back brace and was out of commision for almost 8 months

he also said that benders was not his primary $ maker

come on down

We have the JD2. It was pricey, but so far well worth it. Quality, quick, and consistant.

I didnt get the info anywhere, I compared my 120 degree Tube tek die, and a 240 degree JD-2 die
mine will fit in a JD-2, and the JD-2 will fit in my Tube Tek

Cool, I was looking at the TT & JD2 dies CLR numbers being different. I assume the follower/guide sections of the die also interchange?

Now you're getting cold! :(

I will check it out and let you know

anyway I had several pm's wanting me to show and explain how I mounted my air over hydraulic cylinder

I took some 3" .250 wall tube, cut it about 4" long, cut it long ways on one side, then cut it again on the same side to take out half an inch, I then used a piece of angle and welded it on to make that side flat, cut 4 small pieces of 1" tube where the bolts are mounted, that way when you put the piece on the cylinder you can turn the bolts down and capture it.

where the hand crank used to be I used a piece of 3/4" tube and slid a shorter piece of 1" tube over top of it, that way it can spin freely, I am going to drill and tap a hole in the 1" piece for a grease fitting

If it dont I have a welder:flipoff2:

no really, I copied this idea from 91ton, Brandon

he has his tack welded in the front and rear of the cylinder, he said when he bent some 2" thicker wall stuff, it moved, so he tacked it
