a friend of mine, and myself, are wanting to fab up some tube bumpers for my toyota pickup. we possibly have access to another friends hydro bender, and my friend has a mig welder allready.

i'm wanting to make some simple bumpers, reusing the stock bumper mounting brakets....and just..well, adding the tube, haha.

i'm not really sure of designs that would not only look kinda cool but also actually be useful.

I'm not really sure where to buy supplies...so i'll prob swing my LMS and see if i can't get a stick or two from Larry (and also some insight from he and wes.)

but...yeah...anyone have any ideas/suggestions/comments/flames/or lol's

oh, here's a pic of my truck just to get ppl in here (ppl love the pics)

please excuse the horrific wheels.....i want to get some black steel wheels if i can find a cheap set.....

 You & your buddy start with a 12 pack-o-beer 2 chairs & A note pad draw your ideas & go from there:beer:

I like the wheels! Had some just like 'em on my old Bronco in High School. (They're just not very good for rock crawlin'). I think they look good though.

Back on topic. People post up your pics of your tube bumbers. Are you looking to put a stinger on it too?

nah...thought about doing a stinger....but, hell, i ususally just use my truck to haul my bicycle to/from the trails....driving around town...and playing in the mud.

i'd like to start doing some trails and stuff after i get a locker...and after i deicide to actually buy another car.....i might go a little more hardcore with the truck. but for now...mostly just some low key tube bumpers, a locker, new exhaust, and just drive it as is. MAYBE change tires after these are gone (32/11.5's are on it) since they rub a little...but, i might just cut all the tings it rubs on..haha.

cool cool....keep the idea's coming

i'm offline till charter gets internet to the new house the 31st....so, yeah, i hope i might have a few ideas by then
