Tube clamps for a cage

Would tube clamps be safe to use in a high stress spot in a cage? I'm looking at these: http://www.ballisticfabrication.com/ID-Tube-Clamp_p_89-1467.html

Not on the pillars, at least I wouldn't use them on the pillars, but if you need to have a cross member that is removable they are all right. It's better than not having the cross member anyway. I've seen them used for the cross member across the engine between the front coil over hoops so that you can get to the engine if you need to. Also used for the same thing in the back so that you can remove in certain situations.
