turbo 350 leak

My tranny is leaking bad behind the converter. I put a brand new seal in and lubed it, dam thing still leaks! Iwas wondering if the bushing in the main shaft could cause leakage.

I just done the same thing to my 4L60E and had the same results, pulled it back down to put another one in and noticed just a small groove cut in the conv., bought a sleeve to go on the conv. and it stopped leakin. Good luck

Are 100% sure that is where is leak is coming from ?

Might be a good idea to take it by a tranmission shop and have the pump pulled and let them check the converter and put a new bushing, pump o-ring and a seal. Usually it's not very expensive or takes too long.

There are 5 things that can leak in the front.
Pump seal (converter seal)
Pump bushing
Pump o-ring
Pump bolts
Converter

If the seal was leaking,it was most likely the bushing causing it.
What did the hub of the converter look like?
