TV's

Sony has above average picture qualiy. But even my deaf ass can har their horrible sound distortion. But I digress....

You said the same shit when I was shopping amps, despite the Sonys winning awards for outstanding sound quality at their price point.

But it doesn't matter. I bought a Denon.

One more thing to keep in mind. The Picture will be no better than the source feeding it. So if you are using a standard def box and coax cable yeah you are going to tell a difference. Go Hd and HDMI and if you cant tell the difference (ESPECIALLY watching sports) then you need your eyes checked ;)

Well if it makes you feel any better...I can't see the big E when I do get my eyes checked. My glasses are about 3/8" thick...not many more prescription levels before I can't wear contacts any more.

I was the same way, couldn't do lasik because they would have to cut too much so I went with implant contacts. My consultation the lady put the E up pn the screen and asked what it was. I told her I couldnt see it, she held a card and started walking towards me and i could see it (not clearly) when she was toe to toe with me.

I have a 46" Samsung LCD that serves me well but in our new house the living room is longer and the wife wants something bigger. Looking in the 60-65" class as we speak. I think smart tv is the way to go because she netflixes alot and I have chases piped in behind the tv just for ethernet, HDMI all the cables.

Ive had a Panasonic viera plasma and it was a great television. Great picture, deep blacks, and to me the plasmas show movement better than LCD/led. That being said, my viera kicked the bucket last year and since then I picked up a 46" Vizio led, a 32" Vizio led and a 20 some inch Vizio led for the youngin. I have been impressed so far with them and they seem to be holding up great. Btw my 32" is in my shop which varies in temp from heat of the summer to the teens in the winter now and it's going great

Wife picked up a 60" Vizio 120Hz LED last night at Wal Mart for $649...

Its aint great but for the price it does well in the game room
