I just got a bill today for my internet service. It increased 33% this month. I got service when they had an offer that their bill would stay set for life and never go up. Apparently they weaseled out of that and put a notice in last months bill in the small print no one reads. The "customer service " employees I talked to could offer no explanation other than it's a cost of doing business.

I replied I would love to get a 33% pay raise but that's only possible if you provide internet service to customers.

Rant over

My Brother signed up with them, for phone & cable. He already was a TWC customer, but took some New plan. They promised he'd keep the Same 120 [or whatever] package. It worked for the first week, then he noticed he lost a couple channels. He started searching through them, & found he was down 12-15 channels. Tow or three of his Favorites are gone. He called them up, & they explained he Had the same number of channels, just They changed some of the programming. That of course changed the prior channels he had! They moved to the Next Teir, which he Wont pay for! He Flat told the Customer Rep, You just Fucked Me! So far he is still with them, as the phone service is better.
I'm satisfied with Dish, & free antenna.

If anyone wants to try Directv or any other AT&T services PM me and I'll try to help you save some $$$.

Edit:
And no I'm not a salesman I'm a tech at AT&T that doesn't mind helping you save $$$.
I just ditched DTV to go with spectrum because they got to expensive. I've got the tv/web/phone package for $133 month. I was paying DTV $160 just for TV.

pay attention to your spectrum bill. Soon as spectrum took over, they started charging for a modem lease. I didn't catch it until last month and they won't credit the past billing cycles (ive had my own modem).

At our office, they won't let us use our own modem. Charged us to use wifi. We had to buy our own router and hook it to their modem.

Around here, the only option is spectrum. Windstream is in a whole other class of suck.

Can you help existing DirecTV customers? Haha My bill has increased about every quarter since the promo price expired and was considering dropping it and just doing streaming/OHA

we are on charter/spectrum. Have the 40 a month deal for the first 2 years. When that runs out, it goes in the wife's name. Then 2 years later back to my name. Stays 40 a month, so far....

That's what I plan on doing. I have the 'Cadillac package'...think they actually call it the 'platinum package', but everything they offer except 300mbps internet (that was an extra $300 install, so went 100mbps), and I'm at $150-160/month. When my trial/deal period is over...the wife gets the cable in her name. Customer service with Spectrum has sucked...took 3 weeks to get my cable hooked up, but since then it's been fine.

We just moved. Old house had Windstream. Windstream was too expensive for what we were getting, or not getting. We went with Spectrum at the new house. Cheaper than Windstream, at least for now.

Call them by just calling I ended up getting about 20 bucks a month off

Yep, that is what I do with TWC for Internet but my DTV is screwed up (actually through CenturyLink and they don't care about losing anyone). Will probably have to cancel my service, then re-up through DTV since neither company can tell me how to switch my service
