i have found 2 very detailed articles on how to do this. one says i just need to do one rail. The other one shows doing both rails just wondering what everyones experience was

My twin stick came with directions on how to do both rails. Both of mine are ground. Not sayin it won't work but I have never heard of anybody just doin one rail.

You only need to modify the one rail. I'm not sure what they're trying to do by grinding the other one. If you enlarge the detents like the guy shows on the range rail, you should get L-N-H on both shafts without being able to put one shaft in high and the other in low simultaneously.

Chevy cases might be different, but I don't see any reason why. Either way, you can trouble shoot it on the bench. The lockout mechanism is stupid simple.

grinding on one rail done, and on the bench it works fine. don't know what that will translate into on the truck but for now i see no problems with doing only one rail as per the write up
