Shitty car or not, I'd drive one if it was given to me, and laugh as I pass the Prii (plural form of Prius if you are unaware) with 40mpg of 25 year old goodness.

While we're on the topic...I laughed as I passed a slow moving tractor trailer this morning in my 89 Mazda loaded down with about 800lbs in the bed and about 2500lbs worth of trailer behind. That took all of about...8 minutes. Anyone know if you need a weighted tag for a 4cyl. truck that only weighs 2800lbs from the factory? Let's hope I don't find out today.

You should be fine, the DMV made me get a 5k tag for my yota just because the shipping weight is 4800ish. (full tank with my fat ass in it weighs 3900)

It did surprisingly well, never got into 5th gear, but it would hold 60mph in 4th, dropping it into 3rd on the hills. And still probably got twice the mileage than if I would have driven the 1ton.
