Yea I'm pretty sure I'll be able to touch the ceiling from my seat.

I have tickets but my son friends are going.
Sturgill has just reached the point where no matter how much I like his ealry music I cant support him. After the last interview calling the fans a "fucking nuisance" and talkign about how much he hates having to do shows to get paid just turns me off.

Plus he says SOund and Fury sucks, he made it just to piss of his label and hates playing the songs but does it to sell albums for the label.

I'll keep Sailors guide, Metamodern and High Top on regular rotation..but beyond that Im done.

Ha! Losers! Im scared of heights so I bought good seats.

Yea I'm not a fan of his new stuff. I hope tyler doesn't get too inspired by him.

Saw the show in Birmingham because I happened to be there.
Childers burned the joint down. Simpson didnt want to be there. He just played and didnt even sing two full songs. Finished with. 'im done dot waste time clapping for no encore it aint happening' and the lights came up.

Honestly I bet 30%+ were gone before he finished half his set.

I hope that's a joke! I don't know if you can be too liberal for Sturgil Simpson

Oh it's true. Josh said that he was going to some Bernie Sanders donor party...Melissa wouldn't even go with him. I think he needs help.

I don't know GONOVRIT, but I know Sturgill hates Trump, and anybody that supports him. If you didn't know that, you ain't been listening to his music. Not my words, his.

I read on the internet that Sturgill Simpson only trusts political advice from 2 sources:
Nancy Pelosi and @GONOVRIT

Spent all my money supporting an America loving band this past Saturday night. I’d consider going to see Tyler and leave but I’ll be working this wknd and it hasn’t been 3mos since I last saw Tyler. Not a Sturgill fan. Jeff, I hope you manage to offend someone, as usual.

I'll try my best Josh!

What's he want to be then, a white hillbilly Jay-Z?

Not going but I did see Tyler play in a buddy’s back yard during the summer...for a donation at the fence. Maybe 60 people there. I took a backpack with some bbq, sauce and a little white and was able to chat and give him a sammich. He was really humble and happy to be just hanging out without any hype.

the guy who has the venue used to book music around the Asheville area so people know his name.

he gets ahold of the musicians and catches them commuting between larger venues and the appeal of Black Mountain is there when they just played Asheville or Charlotte and are heading to SC or TN.

He’s developed quite the reputation. He built a stage and by code can’t charge for it so it’s kinda invitation only. Will get a food truck. All the donations go to the band in cash.

Lots of well known musicians will play there on like a Monday night or something odd since the weekend shows are usually bigger venues.

I've seen both artists before and was pretty disappointed this time. I feel like they had the sound equipment for a venue 1/3 the size of the spectrum center. My seats were pretty bad but I could barely hear tyler childers. Sturgill played a lot better than expected but I'm surprised they didnt have that million dollar anime video playing in the background.
