Each kit comes with the following:
  • Heat-treated chromoly Heim joint
  • Weld in tube insert
  • Jam nut
  • 2 High Misalignment Spacers

Heim Joint Installation & Sizing Tips:
  • 3/4” heims: These heims are great for steering and upper links on lighter weight rigs.
  • 7/8” heims: These heims can be used for steering applications with a 3/4” bore. They are also great for upper links on medium to large rigs and can be used as lowers on lightweight rigs.
  • 1 1/4” heims: These are most commonly found on lower links on rigs of all sizes. They’re strong and wear slower than smaller heims due to increased surface area on the liner. They can also be used on upper links, offering much longer service life in that application.
  • When installing a heim joint, it is best to use anti-seize lubricant on both the threads and high misalignment spacers. This will allow for easier maintenance and adjustment down the road.
