We got a call to clean out a machine shop in Charlotte that had gone out of business. The company that was managing the sell of the equipment called and wanted us to come up.

We hauled 9 trailer loads out. 6 of those have gone to the scrap yard at whopping 21,040 pounds. The last three trailers were loaded up today and will go of tomorrow.

And much more.

That metal table would make a nice small welding table!

Just from those pictures, Much of it could have been sold for more than scrap price! But I understand you have to load, unload, & store it, & wait on buyers. Even that Fire Door, would be a collectible, or be re-purposed.

I was in that facility recently, and they sure did have a ton of stuff everywhere and not a whole lot of off street access.

It was a nightmare. With that big crane in the lot it was impossible to maneuver 3 trucks with trailers. The owner tried to move it and the steering locked up and he knocked down a fence. OOps.

What shop was it?
I want to say Shuman was the name.

I wanted to keep one table but I forgot to tell my buddy who was running the torch. I went back to check on him and it was sliced up. Dangit.

I'd rather (or not) see what you scrapped. That's a lot of weight and I'm sure it was some cool old stuff.

I have no place to store anything right now. And we are moving next year so I need less stuff here not more. The fire door is still there. Didn't take it. Just the shelving and tables and soooooooo much junk.

Today we dropped off another 5400 pounds. One trailer left to unload in the morning.

You could have easily gotten 5 times scrap value for most of that stuff. Next time post up on here so that vultures like myself can at least have a quick shot at it.

Damn I would have loved to have gotten some shelves for the 53' trailer out back.... I'm only about 1:45 south of Charlotte.....
