A friend of mine was at Harkers Island this past weekend and brought his new to him boat. When he returned to the marina he noticed one of his trailer lights was smashed and broken obviously by another trailer. He was upset as he had just put new lights on the old trailer. He was suprised to find a buisness card on his windshield w an apology and asking him to contact the driver so he could pay for a new tailight. My buddy was so impressed by the guy's courtesy he called and thanked him and said don't worry about it I'll take care of it.

Folks at Harker's Island are behind the time, that's why they're still nice people! Lol. Lots and lots of people down there this weekend.

Decendents of my moms family lived on Core Banks/Cape Lookout before everyone moved to Morehead City after repeated Hurricanes destroyed gardens and livestock on the islands causing starvation in the early 1800s. Her maiden name is Willis. I love the way the old timers talk still today. The tailight guy was'nt an islander but still a polite guy.

A good buddy of mine is a Willis from Down East...small world!
