Sucks!!! MRI said no tear/injury. Ortho wanted to scope and see. 30 minute procedure turned into 3 hours and a 4-6 week downtime. Said the rotator cuff was 'frayed' geeez

I feel your pain, literally. My left rotator cuff is torn and my right bicep tendon is detached. I debating on having them both fixed at the same time and being completely useless for a few weeks. I had my bicep tendon reattached 10 years ago, it was a 6 hour surgery that was painful and slow healing. 10 years later I know it's going to be worse.

Right rotator cuff torn, bicep reattached back in 2009. Started bothering me about a year ago, this Jan. during my trip to Russia I am doing a full body MRI to see what needs to be done again. good luck with yours.

My dad has had three hernia surgery’s,numerous kidney stones,bi monthly eye injections and various other afflictions that required surgery and/ or a hospital stay and he says that the RC surgery and recovery was by far the worst thing he’s endured

@Jeff B
Curious, why in Russia?
Cheaper there?
Better care quality?

I can have a full body MRI there for less then 200 bones. I get a disc of the scan and a Xray type print out. My wife is from there, so we go once a year to visit. I have some dental cleaning & a perio treatment there for 165$

I just purchased round trip tickets to Moscow, we will bring in the new year there. when its all done I'll have less then 2500$ invested in all the medical, food, alcohol, lodging and airfare. If it calls for a surgery, I'll get my MD in contact with the surgeon there and I'll pay cash for the procedure. This will cost less then my out of pocket limit with my INS.

Is that available to anyone, or only because your wife is a native?

I am not sure, she sets all the appointments and translates for me. I'll pose that question this evening and get back to you.

@Jeff B it sounds like a colusion. Better get Jeff Mueller to investigate you! You could be influencing the NC4x4 community! For real though a good friend of mine does the same thing. His wife is from Germany and their socialized medicine is good. Living there and paying their taxes not so much.

I've been having some sudden issues with my right shoulder lately. I'm really hoping that it's nothing serious, but I'm not optimistic. While working with my arms over my head at work, my arm would go numb and it hurt directly in the center of the joint and radiated out around my shoulder.

I also have tendon damage in my hands, which sucks a lot too.

There are governmental hospitals and private practice hospitals there. Anybody can go to the private practice. Bring cash and an interpreter.

I’ve had trouble off and on w my right shoulder and they thought I might need surgery.They gave me a shot and sent me to physical therapy for 6 weeks and it really helped mine,but over a year later my problems are coming back.
