Well first off, Hello!. Its been awhile since I have been on the forum. Camden is doing well and has gained almost 5 pounds and grew 3 inches since last June when the feeding tube was placed. Now he rarely has to use it and is eating like a normal 6 year old growing boy should. A lot has changed in the last year. His progression of the liver and kidney disease has slowed which is very good but also not common with his disease so doctors are happy. They have told us probably 5 more "good" years till transplant is needed. We have been back to Milwaukee 4 times since my last post. Last September when we where there the doctors told us it was time to move up there and wait on a liver/kidney. Now they are giving him 5 years. My wife and I have also made many changes. After many months of debating and the news we received in September We called the bank and voluntarily gave back our new house, car and camper to prepare to relocate to WI and allow Sarah to stay home with Camden and my daughter bliss. At the time it was very hard for me to accept what I thought of as being a "failure". Now 6 months later we are in a good place financially and can enjoy this life we have been giving so much more. I say this to just maybe give someone out there a bit of hope. If you are faced with a very hard decision, that means you care about the outcome. Put your family first in the decision (my son in my case) and it will all work out in the end. Hope all of you guys are doing well and hopefully Camden and I can make it out to an event very soon!!
