With the new server hardware we're on, I was able to drop the minimum word length from three characters to two. You can now search for 16 or tj or anything else you want. I haven't played with it much, but you should also be able to use quotes to identify phrases.

I've also upped the max results returned to 1000. If you go out of town for the weekend, New Posts should show you most everything you missed while you were gone.

Search is still the single most intensive job the server has to do. With that in mind, I've set the wait time between searches to 30 seconds for members. Folks with an orange diamond now have an added perk -- for helping to pay the server bills, they'll be able to search every 10 seconds. It's not much, just a token of our thanks for helping to keep this place running.

Quotes for phrase searching doesn't seem to work.
