I have a dana 60 and want to upgrade to a 9/16-18 wheel stud to match the Chevy outers on the front. What I'm having a hard time with is the hole in the hubs. I know I need to drill the hub to a size that will allow me to press the new studs in. The knurl on the new stud is .622 and I have searched for some info online for a while. The only thing I can come up with really is to use a 39/64 bit and try it. Has anyone on here done this and what did you use? Any help is appreciated.

I would want it to be the same diameter as the body of the stud (diameter that the knurl protrudes from). If that is 9/16", drill a 9/16" hole, the drill will provide you a couple thousandths slip, and you can press it in with a deep socket and a C-clamp. That will help keep the stud centered and give it a shoulder to ride on, instead of just relying on the knurls.
