UPS question

I would call UPS and ask them what to do. I Have never run into this problem but I am always nervous when ordering something.

yeah, give them a call for shore cause the tracking isnt always right. I had one order that said it was delivered to my house, but it wasnt there. then I did some more digging and found that the last location was at the post office (wtf??) so I gave them a ring and they told me that they tried to deliver it twice and couldnt find my address so they took it back to the warehouse in winston and I had to go and pick it up?? yeah there real good at effing stuff up.

Check everywhere around your house, too....I've had substitute drivers put stuff just about anywhere...including the man door on my detached garage out back. "Left at door" for that one, also. Had stuff left at the back door that we never use, or on the patio, etc.

Worst was my AA Ranger o/d. 70# box, and the UPS guy evidently didn't want to bother with his hand truck. I got home, it was sitting out at the street next the the telephone pole and fire hydrant....$1500 bucks sitting at the curb.

DHL is horrible. The delivery guy twice messed up our deliveries. First time he couldnt decide which house was ours so he delivered it to a whole different street. We had to call and make him bring it to us. Next time, same guy delivered it to our neighbors house. Called again and he wanted us to go get it off there porch, no going to happen were I live you might get shot.

UPS pronounced "Oops"

I had the same deal happen...turns out it was delivered to the Correct address same street address (as luck would somehow have it) as mine which sux...Just the wrong Town...

Dumbasses....I told them the driver should be fired...they got defensive on that and said it wasn't his fault because the labels are all done by computer....Ok I agree and can accept that

Except if you lOOked at the label...like with your F'N EYES and said Hmmm...This truck I'm getting Paid Handsomely to drive is not physically in the Same Town, Zip Code or GPS Location etc that I'm dropping this package off at and headed home for a ...cuz I've done my part for the day and Done my Best as I can Today for the Man...

OK...Rant Off...you get the point...Look around first..Call the Local Center and Report it...then they'll have an investigator call you and ask questions...you know like you're the Criminal that is Cheatin' the System..."ask me how I know"...then they'll start the claims process if the package is not located

All packages for NC come through the Greensboro Hub first then to you local center...if all else fails...call the UPS HQ in Atlanta...Spread some Sunshine down in Georgia...

We've had the same driver for years. Even when he is off, we have the same relief driver, both are very good. Never had a problem with deliveries.

Probably got delivered to the wrong address. Call and start the process. Also, start asking for reimbursement. You may have to get the seller involved in that one, I think that has to come from their end. Once you get the ball rolling, they usually figure out where they screwed up and fix it.

DHL sucks a$$. They droped a package off at my brothers that was about 2 miles from the adress that was on it. His wife called them to let them know of the mistake and they asked her to take to where it belonged. She told her fee was $200 and she would be happy when the money cleared the bank or they could get it off her front steps by 5pm or she would sell it.....lol

my ups driver is an old friends older brother.
When we are not home he use the hidden key and puts stuff on the table....he has also been known to feed my dogs...

A town of 400 has its advantages.

Pulled out of the drive way this morning and there was a package setting on my neighbors porch so I thought I'd be nosy and see if it was my wifes and sure enough it was. Apparently the ups driver cant read house numbers. Glad we found it cause my wife was about to have a heart attack. I don't know how she would ever make it w/o her seventh diaper bag that was in the package. Thanks for all the info.

Ya having the houses marked well definitely helps. I actually just added 3" numbers to my mail box on the 'other' side. It's a dead end culdisac and the houses skip every other number. Ex Odd side is 601,605 AND don't line up with the even numbered house on the other side... Most people mark on the side seen on the way in and not the other side.. ANYWAY...

My driver(s) have always been cool. I used to have a regular and he was great, one time he even slid all 4 new tires under my trailer out of sight rather than stack them on front of the garage door. If I'm home I try to get out to his truck before he jumps and runs. I always ask them if they need a bottle of water or anything.

My dad worked at UPS for 30years. Literally they are timed to the step and movements they make to be as efficient as they can. (be made ) So anything you can do to 'help' them makes they happier.

Good thing because if mama aint happy aint nobody happy:lol:

I work at the local hub here in Winston, first I want to say we do not have GPS just paper maps. UPS has GPS on our scan board things to watch what we do so if we spend to much time looking for or at a stop they will be like what were you doing for X amount of time here bla, bla, bla, and try to fire us!!! Its pretty stupid. First thing I would do in the situation is look around the house and at neighbors thats usually what happens. As for above post were pkg was left at curb, That driver should have been fired and probly is now as much as they watch us. Just my .02
