Well I hope everyone else has better luck than me! The first trail I tried this morning was Daniel from the Cotton Place Rd side....got up to the first big mudhole and gunned it thru, and evidently my driveshaft compressed too much because it popped the back out of the tcase, and the tcase started leaking pretty good, so I had to turn around and come home. I think I'm cursed. Anyway, happy wheeling to everything else!

i hear that! i was halfway to URE to finally meet some club members and my girlfriend became super sick and i had to turn around and cancel :( must have been the cold gettin to her from staying in line all night for black friday.

I finally made it down there after lunch, and got high centered on Rocky Mtn loop, had to be pulled back, and later when lining up to take a different line up a hill, my front end slide sideways, and I had to be pulled up that section to keep from falling/rolling down the side of the moutain. All in all a good time, and luckily no breakage. I'm glad a put in that new front crossmember with tow points!

We followed the freakin huge Chevy  on 44s down 109 for a bit, met our crew at Eldorado, was a good run...pix later

Were you driving a green Jeep Grand Cherokee? I think I am the guy who pulled you back on the trail. I was driving a Ranger cab truck with blue exo-cage.

Yes, and yes I believe BIGWOODY was the one that gave me a yank backwards. it was about 1.5-2 hr between both incidences. The trails have really erroded in the last few months. I easily did that section of the trail up and down in August. I was also really dissapointed with the huge metal guardrail near Kodak. At least the wood rails 'fit in' in the woods. shiny galvanized metal is just an eyesore.

the whole 'never wheel alone' well, a friend backed out, and this was the only time untill spring I could make it out there. I expected a bigger crowd and thought there'd be people all over the trails. Almost had them to yourself all day.

Anyway, everyone got home safely. I really need to spend some time on my yota this winter, wheeling the DD is getting hazardous

Nobody witnessed the full size Dodge Ram extended cab long bed crawl up onto and over Kodiak Rock today..... It was quite amazing and I must say I was a bit suprised to see it done with no audience, lol

Where was everyone? we didn't see many folks out on the trails friday night or saturday...

mised the rest of you muddevils out there.
DK and i left at 9;30 we would of been there sooner but DK's dodge must of had a cloged fuel filter:fuck-you:
I think he is still worried his truck is going to fall off the trailer

I had a blast too, met up with bulletproof, went down some small trails to Begin with on Friday. Hit Rocky mount. loop, sawmill, kodax, daniel, and luckily did not break on the trail, but I did come home with a bunch of clunks, clanks, squeaks, and "WTF is this thing doing" sounds.

Brad, Just for you to know dutch john owned me this week, I never got the chance to go back and try it again

we all had a great time friday night and sat. I had to drive the xj there and back since my tow rig was in the shop but it did fine. saw purpletjchick on the trail but i think she got stuck behind a stock xj that was there alone. No carnage even though i whacked a tree on kodiak with my roof rack...i really need to toss that thing and go exo. I was very proud of the 2 tj's in our group that were stock...i mean bone stock with street tires on one of them. they went almost everywhere we did and didn't hurt a thing. by the way, one of them was a girl in her pretty little new tj and it was her first time driving the trails. Way to go Tudy!!!

Lauren, I don't suppose that was you that walked past me at Eldorado Friday morning as I was airing down and called me "sir" was it? If so, sorry I didn't introduce myself, and I would prefer to be called dude. :)

I do call all guys sir. (it was beat into me at a young age... hard to break)

It more then likly was. I had no clue who you was so I did not start a converstion.

Was your purple jeep dark blue (or maybe it is really dark purple and looks blue?) I was helping with the white zuk samurai, you guys were organizing your rides too...prob saw you but didn't introduce myself either heh!!

I might have some of your crew in my eldorado shots..hope to upload them tomorrow mornign!

Sam

Yes, purple jeep (but only in the bright sun) with "wrangler" down the side of the hood. You know I am on the trail if you see the "Public Hardware INC" work truck with the trailer in the parking lot

My group was going to be big... but I over slept.... oopps It ended up being me and brad. Afterwards I went to Daniel and was going to wait for the next group going up, that is how I got in with the zukes.

Well, I finaly made it, at 5:00. I say 2offroad pulling out as I was coming in. We made it to the main camp ground, unloaded off the trailer and made camp couple hundred yards of the parking lot. I made a late night loop on dickey bell and ran rocky mount in the morning.

This was my maiden voyage with the dual trans. Worked flawlessly.

I hope to meet up with some of you folks at another run.

I had a good weekend. Didn't break or tear up anything, walked Daniel, had fun on Kodak, and drove it home.

Hey matt, it was nice meeting you. sorry i had to run that night but had more important things to do sunday morning. I still don't see how the front end of that tj works but from what i hear it flexes great. Hope to get up with you again soon.
PS, you forgot to mention the fuzzy dice in your signature.
