Couple of jeeps leaving from the South Charlotte/Waxhaw area Friday after work to campout and wheel Saturday. Let me know if your in the area and want to convoy up there friday and do some wheeling.
 
Forest Service workday for this weekend was canceled. In fact, after talking with District Ranger Walker, Recreation Specialist Savery and Volunteer Coordinator Mark Hall turnout has been so poor the FS is hurting for help. Here's the remaining schedule for 2009, please try to show up for one of these workdays if you possibly can!

September 19th-20th
October 17th-18th
November 21st-22nd

I might be there this sat.
what trails will need the most help??
what kind of work will be done ? trash clean up or trail repairs?
if i go Sat I'll get an early start by picking up trash ,, although it might be quite sloppy if we get alot of rain
ther should be a nc4x4 work day ure??????????
 
hmmmm,I might be up for a day trip saturday.Ain't been on the trails since july 4th weekend in Mt.City. Anybody mind a stock 1950 Willys tag along?
 
I am thinking of heading up Sat for the day as well. Have not been since last Oct. Gonna try to be at the outpost by 9:00am

Didn't we ride together on a Jeeperz run a few years back?My Willys was camo'ed back then.Anyhow,a 9:00 am eta is very doable for me.Which rig will you be bringing?
 
We are gonna be camping at Badlin Lake Group camp Friday night (white YJ on 35's and od-green YJ on 33's) Not sure what time we're hitting the trails Saturday morning. But anyone is welcome to drop by or ride around with us.:driver:
 
I've never camped at badin lake group camp ,,, I might just have to try it ,, that way I'll be at the outpost by 9 sat ,, I'll be in the blue yj on 35's
I'll be testing out my tj chromo's

Yes we did ride and camp a few years back. I will be in my red YJ. Need a radiator for my Commando at the moment, always something :shaking:
 
There might be 3 rigs coming from Goldsboro.My willys,Joe Darlington on a Rodeo,and a co-worker and his tj on 33s that wheeled in Arizona but not here yet.We will be at the outpost at 9 or possibly earlier.

shoot :shaking:I couldn't pull a full sized atv on the trail as light weight and underpowered as I am.You might wind up pullin me up and over.

Looks like we might be a slingin and a flinging:driver:/slippin and slidin:bounce2: saturday.......I LOVE UNF in the rain!

What happen to ya Kelly? We had a good run till Jimmy snapped a Dshaft and an axle joint on Daniel about 2:30pm. Got him out to the trailer and all was good.
 
hard to believe 60 horses would cause all that damage.The front joint I knew was going.Been clickin a while now and was going to upgrade this winter.When you get ready to change out that Dana 27,give me a holler and we'll work out a deal.I can use the shafts for spares.

It was actually a great day! Steve,it was good runnin the trails with ya again man.
 
Sounds like you all had some fun, Daniel has been breaking alot of parts again. Sorry to hear ol Nellie Belle broke a shaft Jimmy.
Kelly WTF a Yota...kidding we need to wheel again sometime.
 
Had a great time and it was the first time for my wife and little boy and they really enjoyed it. Kelly and I rode together and saw a couple people in jeeps and I want to thank the one in the red jeep for the air. Until Kelly had problems with his electrical and fuel pump I had to tow him out to the trailor and I want to Thank the guys who stayed with us to make sure we had no problems.

Hey, I was the guy in the white yj with the fuses. Glad you guys were able to get out ok. Did ya'll ever have any luck finding what was giving you the trouble?
 
yeah we got to the outpost early , and didnt see ya steve, we unloaded at the dutch john parking lot. havnt messed with the truck yet , but ecu isnt getting any power, think it could be a main fuel relay or something. you got any pics chris of what little wheelin we did do??
