Anybody going to Uwharrie this Fri or Sat?
I'll be in NC and would love to run down for a visit.
My Bro-in-law has a new FJ Cruiser he's itching to take ofroad - I suggested we might find some folks to tag along with.
E.g. we're looking for other folks to join up for the morning at least, I'd like to show him some easier trails, then if possible maybe just right-seat for others?
Can do Fri or Sat, would prefer Fri.
 
I was wanting to go sooner cause the weather is gonna be great this week then rain Thursday and turn cooler and be cloudy and in the mid 60s on Friday with a chance of showers, then turn nice again on Saturday.

But if I can't find anyone to meet up with today or tomorrow I could go Friday I suppose. I'm not no super rock pro though, I'm still figuring out what I can do in my Jeep. But the only way I can do that is to wheel it.
 
yeah, latest is Rain on Friday.
and Rain @ URE = slippery slick mess. Fun, but a challenge for stockers.

I know - but it's in Charlotte, not really on my route.
Plus I think the BIL really wants to play w/ the FJC offroad, do they have something a newbie in a stocker could do?
 
On the thread it says 33's has a line.
 
As a former owner of an FJ cruiser and someone who has been on Chris's rock pile, I would say no, there is no line for an FJ.
 
Yeah, unf. I don't see the MarsFab shindig working out for us.
where might I find info on this Military gathering? We don't exactly fit in there but it'd be nice to see at least ;-)
 
I'm going down Thursday thru Sunday. I plan to ride every day we are at site 27 at arrowhead.
Let me know what time your there on Friday and me and my brother with his cj5 will ride.

Looks like rain Friday - which is fun, but not so ideal for a newb in a stock FJC ;-)
Plus my wife just made plans for us :-(
So looks like Sat for us.
 
My wife and I have sort of been adopted by the Military Vehicle guys. This is our third year of hanging out with them. We will be at Group Camp "B" this weekend. I don't want to overstep my bounds by inviting the public, but I feel pretty sure that anyone who wanted to stop by for a visit would not be tarred & feathered. :)
 
ill be up there friday - sunday.. rented a cabin... got 4 rigs coming. If you see a red JK w/ a stinger stop me

anyone going to be on the CBs?
 
don't have a CB - although tempted to stop by Wally World and get some "family radios" lol.

We are going to be leaving Reidsville around 8:30 sat morning. That should put us at Eldorado Outpost around 10:00. Wives and children will be along for the ride so the plan is to do the milder trails. There will be at least 2 biege rubicons (mine and another) so look for us if that time frame is good for you.

I want to head out and take my old FSJ on a trial run. I just bought it a couple months ago and just got it running good. So the plan is to head up to uwharrie with the wife and kids and test it out. It would be cool to ride with some others so we are not out there solo.

So if anyone is up there saturday starting in the late morning, lets swap contact info and do some wheelin.
